HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker baseball dropped its non-conference series finale to No. 22 UIndy 18-4 on Sunday (Feb. 12).

The Greyhounds got off to a hot start, plating four runs off of starter Jon Koski (0-2). The Cobras cut the deficit in half in the second when Robert Lybrand laced a double down the right field line to score Brooks Estrada and Tanner Crosby.  Coker would get closer in the third when Bryson Conner led off with a walk. Conner would advance to second on a wild pitch, before a single from AJ Strnad would move him to third with no one out. Another wild pitch would score Conner and advance Strnad to second. A groundout from Darius Coldiron got Strand to third with just one out. Coker was unable to score the tying run in the frame.

Both teams would go the next two innings scoreless before the visitors would put up another four spot to push their lead to 8-3. Coker would get within 8-4 in the seventh on a Strnad RBI single, before UIndy would score 10 runs over the final two innings to clinch the series win.

Strnad and Estrada each tallied two hits, while P.J. Musselman and Lybrand each chipped in one. Forrest Arnold turned in a hefty relief appearance, tossing five innings allowing four earned runs on six hits while striking out three. Brady Shuey, Jackson Back, Jake Moore and Matt Ticer also recorded relief appearances in the contest.
