CARY, N.C.- The Coker men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Great American XC Festival on Saturday (Oct. 1) in Cary, N.C. The men took sixth place while the women placed 10^th.

Brandon Mullins led the men finishing in 14^th place in 27:29.7, while Jacob Chebii finished 20^th in 28:05.9. Luke Elliott (33^rd, 29:24) and Jacob Maldonado (36^th, 29:47.9) rounded out Coker's top 40. Razzel Kiplaget (46^th, 30:24.9), William Mosely (53^rd, 31:07.9) and James Gregory (71^st, 32:26.9) rounded out the Cobra runners. 

Darroneshia Lott picked up her first collegiate win at the 2K in 18:37, while Breanna Sullivan finished 38^th in 22:44.7. Tiffany Taylor finished 60^th in 24:06.6, while Angeline Flores (86^th, 26:10.2), Da'Sha Jobes (96^th, 28:22.6) and Karley Weiner (106^th, 33:00.7) rounded out the Cobra women.

The teams will run again at the USC Open on Wednesday (Oct. 5) in Columbia, S.C. The race is slated for a 5:30 p.m. start.
