Coker Cross Country to Compete in Catawba Invitational

SALISBURY, N.C. – The Coker men's and women's cross country teams will head up to the Catawba Invitational on Friday (Sept. 6), to compete in their first event of the year.

Dylan Bates and Tom Sizeland will lead the men's team, as the only returning runners from last season.  Both Bates and Sizeland are in the Coker record books, for running a sub 27-minute 8k times at the Royal Challenge in 2012.

Leading the women's team will be sophomore Naomi Watson, who was voted the team MVP just a season ago.

Altogether, the Coker men's and women's team added 11 new runners that are expected to make an immediate impact.

The race is scheduled for a 5 PM start time.
