CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Coker Cross Country teams will be traveling to Charlotte on Friday (Sept. 28) to participate in the UNC Charlotte Invitational.
The meet is set to take place at McAlpine Park, with the men's course mapped out as the 8k race and the women as the 6k race.
With over 44 other teams competing in this weekend's race, the Cobras will be looking for a strong performance from Dylan Bates and Stephanie Shaw. Bates and Shaw each finished first for the Cobras at the Winthrop Invitational. Bates finished the 8k race with a time of 27:51.52, while Shaw finished the 5k with a time of 22:05.82
The gun is scheduled to sound at 3:30 p.m., sending off the first group of women's competitors. The men's race follows shortly after, at 4:15 p.m.
