High Point, N.C.- Coker College’s Kendyl Seawright has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas women's cross country Runner of the Week during week number one in the 2010 season.

Senior Kendyl Seawright (Manalapan, N.J.) led the Coker women's cross country team to their best team finish since 2007, as the Lady Cobras placed second in the Guilford College Invitational behind Division I UNC-Greensboro. Along the way, Seawright captured a third-place finish with a time of 20:26. Seawright is hoping this is the start to a very productive season for the Coker women's cross country team.

Seawright and the Cobra runners return to action on Saturday, September 18, when they travel to Lumberton, N.C. for the UNC-Pembroke Invitational.
