Wingate, N.C. – On Saturday, November 8, the Coker College Cross Country teams competed in the 2008 NCAA Southeast Regional Championships at Wingate University. The Cobra women placed 13th of 22 teams, while the men finished 14th of 20 teams.

Individually, Kendyl Seawirght (Manalapan, NJ) led the women with a 21st place finish and a time of 25:11, with Michael Murphy (Peekskill, NY) and Justin Gragg (Lenoir, NC) led the men finishing just a second apart with times of 35:03 and 35:04 respectively.

Seniors Shannon Townley (Anniston, AL) and Adam Green (Easley, SC) ran in their final meets of their collegiate careers, with Townley finishing at 25:46 and Green finishing at 37:22.

Coker is looking forward to the future with the loss only two seniors and a full year of recruiting for Head Coach Keith Solverson.
