Augusta, Ga. – The Coker College cross country teams competed in the Jaguar Invitational meet on Saturday, with the men’s team placing fifth our of six teams and the women placing sixth out of nine teams.

Individually for the men, Michael Murphy (Peekskill, NY) placed 11th overall with a time of 36:37 in the 10k event, while Justin Gragg (Lenoir, NC) placed 18th with a time of 38:42. Adam Green (Easley, SC) placed 22nd after a time of 40:32, while Austin McJunkins (Walhalla, SC) and Chase Horton (Bethune, SC) came in with times of 42:35 and 46:46 respectively.

In the women’s race, Kendyl Seawright (Manalapan, NJ) continued her strong races with a third place finish after a time of 25:24 in the 6k event, while Shannon Townley (Anniston, AL) came in with a time of 28:15. Amy Jones (Hurricane, WV) was next with a time of 28:41, followed by Dana Daves (York, SC) with a time of 28:54. Angela Williams (Johnston, SC) was next with a time of 31:16, with Alex Ochoa (Pamplico, SC) finishing with a time of 32:22.

The Cobras will now take a much needed break before they take to the trail once again on October 10, when they travel to the Anderson University Invitational in Anderson, SC.
