Spartanburg, SC - Daniel Kanyaruhuru of Queens University ran a 24:18 to claim his first Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championship this morning at Milliken Corporate Park in Spartanburg, SC.  The Royals of Queens University had three runners place in the top five of today's competition: Daniel Kanyaruhuru, Ryan Connelly, and Marious Kolesvik.

Despite having three runners in the top ten, Lees-McRae men were unable to claim a first place finish in today's race.  Queens University scored 45 points to beat the Bobcats by 15 points.  The Trojans of Anderson University were led by Nate Parson who finished 9th overall to claim a third place finish.  Last year's winner, Mitch Cooper, led St. Andrews to a fourth place finish while placing fourth overall.

Rounding out the top five was Pfeiffer University who finished with a total of 138 points.  Only 26 points behind them came the Flying Fleet of Erskine who earned the sixth place finish.  Limestone College was led by Matt Conant who finished 7th overall to earn the seventh place finish 6 points behind Pfeiffer University.  Coker College and Belmont Abbey rounded out the 9-team field of today's competition.
