Wingate, NC- On Saturday morning, the Coker College Cross Country Teams competed in the Pre-Region meet at Wingate University. Both the men’s and women’s teams placed in the top ten, with the men placing ninth and the women placing tenth.

 

On the women’s side, Kendyl Seawright/Manalapan, NJ, led the way in the 6k meet with a time of 26:15 in 22nd place. Seawright was followed by Monica Taylor/Lexington, SC, at 27:41, while Shannon Townley/Anniston, AL, came in at 28:23. Nicole Coke/Summerville, SC, finished with a time of 28:55, followed by Dana Daves/York, SC, at 29:06. Rounding out the field for Coker were Noelle Sharbono/Pembroke Pines, FL, Amy Jones/Hurricane, WV, and Ashley Cupp/North Augusta, SC, with times of 30:37, 32:27 and 33:08 respectively.

 

The Cobras next meet is on September 29, as they travel to Greensboro, NC, for the Hagan Stone Invitational.
