Pensacola, FL- David Green may not have won the NCAA Division II National Championship Cross Country meet, but he was able to defeat every other runner in the Southeast Region and along the way set a new person best record for himself. Green ran the 10K championship race in a time of 31:21, placing him 75th of 187 runners.

Green's time of 31:21 beat his pervious personal best by a minute and 15 seconds.

According to Coach Ley Fletcher, "It was a great race. David ran very well and was able to be the top finisher in out of the runners from the Southeast Region by at least 15 seconds. I am very proud of David and it is a great way for him to end a specatular career."

Overall, Abilene Christian took the team title, while Nicodemus Naimadu of Abilene Christian as the overall champion with a time of 29:17.

Coker will now look forward to next season, as they lose three seniors; Green, Nathan Hansen and Tyler Carroll. Four Cobras will return to next years squad with hopes of making it to the National Championship as a team.
