Wingate, NC- For the second year in a row junior David Green has come up one spot short of going to the national finals for Division II Men’s Cross Country. In last years regional race Green finished seventh, when the top six runners got to go to nationals. This year David finished in eighth place with a time of 34:07 in the 10K race, and the top seven earned a spot to nationals. Green was also named to the All-Region Cross Country Team.

 

As a team the Cobra Men finished in 6th of 16 teams, defeating four other CVAC schools. Mars Hill College was the overall winner and fellow CVAC school St. Andrews placed 2nd.

 

Coker juniors Nathan Hansen and Tyler Carroll finished with times of 35:32 and 36:11 respectively, while freshman Adam Green came in at 37:32, followed by senior Jermaine Cooper at 38:38. Seniors Alex Kornfeld and Britt Means finished out the field for the Cobras with times of 38:39 and 40:55 respectively.

 

With their season over, both teams will take a short break before training for a few spring races and next fall begins at the start of next semester.
