Coker to Host Erskine in 'Dig Pink' Match

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's volleyball team will host the Erskine College Flying Fleet in their "Dig Pink" match on Tuesday (Oct. 9) at the Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium. The Conference Carolinas match will be video streamed live online and can be viewed at www.cokercobras.com.

Coker will be wearing special pink jerseys in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. These jerseys, along with pink volleyballs autographed by both Coker and Erskine, will be auctioned off in a silent auction during the match. All proceeds from the night will benefit the Side-Out Foundation for breast cancer research and awareness.

The Cobras have won four of their last seven matches, with their most recent victory coming on the road against Limestone, 3-0. So far this season the women are 2-2 at home. Taylor Willis and Catie Truzzolino have been the kill leaders for the Cobras, while Brittany Bass and Mindy Morris have led the Coker defense.

Erskine is coming off a 3-0 loss to Carson-Newman. The loss snapped the Flying Fleet's five match winning streak. Currently, Erskine is 7-2 in league play.

The "Dig Pink" match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
