Cobra Volleyball Picks Up 3-2 Win Over North Greenville

TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Coker Cobra volleyball team snapped a eight match winless streak on Saturday with a 3-2 Conference Carolinas victory over North Greenville University. The Cobras picked up the five set win by winning the first, third and fifth sets with scores of 30-28, 26-24 and 15-13.

Taylor Willis (Zephyrhills, Fla.) led the Cobras offensive attack in the victory with 15 kills and six blocks, while Katie McElveen (Hartsville, S.C.) had 12 kills and 25 digs. Also reaching the 20 dig mark were Brittany Bass (Bethune, S.C.) and Mindy Morris (Beaufort, S.C.) with 20 and 26 digs respectively.

Jordan Arnsmeyer (Sumter, S.C.) and Hannah Vadakin (Centennial, Colo.) each added nine kills and Samantha Celek (Charleston, S.C.) handed out 51 assists.

The Cobras will return to the floor on Wednesday as they continue their five match road stint at St. Andrews University at 7 p.m.
