Hartsville, SC- The Cobra Volleyball Team did battle with the Saints of Limestone College in collegiate volleyball on Friday night. In the first two games of the match Coker just had to fight hard to win 30-27 and 30-25, but in the third and final game Coker won with ease 30-19.

 

Coker was led by the hard noised play of junior Tara Nelson/Rochester Hills, MI, who’s 34 assists and diving plays were key in the Cobras win. Senior Andrea Manuel/Spartanburg, SC, and sophomore Megan Haupt/Summerville, SC each had 10 kills on the night, while Manuel also added 7 digs. Sophomore Margaret Madison/Savannah, GA, had 8 kills, 9 digs and 5 aces in the win for the Cobras as well.

 

With this win the Coker Volleyball Team moves to 7-10 on the year and 6-2 in the CVAC.

 

The next match for the Cobras will be on Tuesday, October 4, when they travel to play CVAC opponent St. Andrews at 6:30 p.m.
