Lott Disqualified for Lane Violation in NCAA National Championship Race

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Senior runner Darroneshia Lott ran her final race as a Coker Cobra in Saturday's (May 26) NCAA Division II 800-meter National Championship race.

After further review from NCAA officials, it was deemed that Lott was disqualified for a lane violation, vacating her of a National Championship and the fastest time to ever be run in NCAA Division II history with the mark of 2:01.36. This time would have also beaten her own previous record of 2:05.41.

Lott finishes her career at Coker as a three-time All-American in the cross country 6K event (21:59.42- 2017), and Indoor and Outdoor 800-meter events (2:08.81- 2018 | 2:07.40- 2017).
