Women's Tennis Falls In SAC Road Contest Against Limestone

Gaffney, SC - Women's Tennis traveled to face off against the Saints of Limestone this afternoon, falling by a score of 5-2.

The Cobras started off hot, taking the doubles point from the Saints with wins on courts one and two. Jade Bellegy and Emerson Banning paired up to win 6-4 at first doubles while the partnership of Angelina Krieg and Tamara Macias won 7-5 at second doubles.

Unfortunately, the Cobras were unable to carry that momentum into singles play, falling on five of the six remaining courts. The bright spot for Coker in this one was Bellegy getting a 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, 7-5 win on court one, digging deep in her three-set victory.

The Cobras will be back at home at Byerly Park on Saturday against Carson Newman. First serve for that match is scheduled for 1 PM ET.
