Coker Drops Heartbreaker to Limestone, 5-4

SUMTER, S.C. – The Coker College women's tennis team dropped a heartbreaking 5-4 match to Limestone in the Quarterfinals of the Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Tournament on Friday.

Coker captured two of three doubles flight wins, with victories at No. 1 and No. 3. Both matches won with scores of 8-3.

Then in singles play it was the Cobras First Team All-Conference performers; Alyssa Blanchard and Cora Berna that came away victorious. Blanchard won 6-1, 6-1 at No.1 and Berna won at No. 2 with scores of 7-6 (7-4) and 6-3.

The loss brings the Cobra women's season to an end. They finish with a record of 9-12 overall and 7-4 in conference play. Their 7-4 mark earns them a fifth place finish in the league standings.
