WINGATE, N.C. – Alyssa Blanchard earned the Cobra women's tennis team's lone win in their 8-1 loss to the nationally ranked No. 29 Bulldogs of Wingate University on Saturday afternoon.

Blanchard improved her singles record to 12-5 on the season with a three set win at the No. 1 flight in singles play. She defeated Ali Evers with scores of 6-3, 1-6, 6-3.

The Cobras will close out the 2012 regular season on Sunday with a Conference Carolinas match at Belmont Abbey at 1:30 p.m.
