HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's tennis team suffered a tough Conference Carolinas loss to nationally ranked No. 37 Erskine College on Saturday, 7-2. The loss drops the Cobras to 5-2 in league play.

Alyssa Blanchard (Columbia, S.C.) and Cora Berna (Spain) picked up a pair of huge singles victories in the match. Blanchard knocked off regionally ranked No. 8 Corin Hallman at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-1 and Berna picked up a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles.

The Cobras will be back on the courts on Sunday at home against Queens University of Charlotte at 1:30 p.m.
