HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Cora Berna (Spain), Kayla Meermans (Pelion, S.C.) and Brittanny Yando (Sumter, S.C.) went undefeated in the Cobra women's tennis match against Pfeiffer University, leading Coker to a 6-3 Conference Carolinas victory. The win improves the Cobras to 5-1 in league play.

Berna and Meermans earned an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles, while Yando and doubles partner Faith Baxley (Mullins, S.C.) won at No. 3 doubles with a score of 8-3.

In singles play Berna won 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-5) at No. 2, with Stephanie Medley (Sumter, S.C.) winning at No. 3 with scores of 6-3, 6-2. Meermans had a three set victory at No. 5, 6-3, 5-7, 10-6 and Yando won in straight sets at No. 6, 6-0, 6-0.

The Cobras will be back on the courts for another conference match on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Erskine College.
