HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Alyssa Blanchard’s (Columbia, S.C.) consecutive singles match win streak continued on Friday afternoon thanks to a straight set win at No. 1 singles over West Alabama’s Angy Cuellar. Unfortunately, the women were unable to pick up the team victory as they were narrowly defeated 5-4.

Along with Blanchard, the Cobras Cora Berna (Spain) and Stephanie Medley (Sumter, S.C.) each picked up wins in singles play at No. 2 and No. 3. Berna won a tough three set match at No. 2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2, while Medley won in straight sets at No. 3 6-1, 6-2.

Blanchard and Medley earned the Cobras their fourth victory of the match with an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles.

Coker is back on the courts on Saturday when they travel to Misenheimer, N.C. to take on Conference Carolinas foe Pfeiffer University starting at 1:00 p.m.
