GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Coker women’s tennis team picked up their fourth consecutive victory on Saturday with a 9-0 win over Limestone College in Conference Carolinas women’s tennis action.

The win is Coker’s second straight in conference play improving the Cobras to 6-2 overall and 3-2 in the conference.

Alyssa Blanchard (Columbia, S.C.) continued her hot singles play as she picked up her seventh straight win at No.1 singles with a 6-1, 6-4 victory. Stephanie Medley (Sumter, S.C.) and Brittany Yando (Sumter, S.C.) also had exceptional victories in singles winning 6-0, 6-0 in both of their matches.

The Cobras also had three decisive wins in doubles play, including a 8-0 win by Yando and Cora Berna (Spain) at No. 3 doubles.

Coker will be back on the courts next weekend with three matches over three days starting with West Virginia State on Friday and Mount Olive College on Saturday both at home and finishing up with a road match at Methodist on Sunday.
