HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Cobras women’s tennis team won five of their six singles matches on their way to an 8-1 win over Benedict College in non-conference women’s tennis action on Wednesday afternoon. In addition to their singles wins, the Cobras picked up three wins in doubles play.

Coker had three good wins from the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 singles positions with Kendall Sigmon (Hilton Head, S.C.) and Brittany Yando (Sumter, S.C.) each winning 6-0, 6-3 at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively, while Faith Baxley (Mullins, S.C.) won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5.

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday when they play host to Barton College in a Conference Carolinas match starting at 1:30 p.m.
