CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Coker’s Alyssa Blanchard (Columbia, S.C.) picked up her third win of the week against a Conference Carolinas opponent at No. 1 singles on Saturday with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Elena Mileva of Queens University of Charlotte. The win was Coker’s only of the match as they lost to the regionally ranked No. 8  and nationally ranked No. 44 Royals of Queens 8-1.

Even though they were unable to pick up wins, several Coker players played good matches including Cora Berna (Torrevieja, Spain) at No. 3 singles. She lost her match 6-3, 6-2, but showed flashes of greatness in her play.

Coker will now prepare for their next week of play that includes a home match on Wednesday against Benedict College at 3:00 p.m. and another conference match on Saturday, March 5 against Barton College at home at 1:30 p.m.
