HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker’s Alyssa Blanchard (Columbia, S.C.) and Stephanie Medley (Sumter, S.C.) continued their stellar play on the courts with a pair of wins in the Lady Cobras 7-2 loss to Queens on Friday afternoon. The Lady Cobras are now 1-7 in Conference Carolinas play and 3-13 overall.

Blanchard and Medley gave Coker a strong start to the match with a 8-4 win at No.1 singles. Then Blanchard picked up her sixth win of the season in conference singles play with a 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles. Medley also played a great match at No. 2 singles, but she came up just short, losing 4-6, 6-2, 6-1.

Coker will play their final match of the season on Sunday, at home against Limestone College starting at 1:00 p.m. Coach Cheng and the Lady Cobras will help honor the four senior men’s players with a special ceremony prior to the start of the match.
