WINGATE, N.C. - The Wingate women did not lose a set Wednesday, as the Bulldogs won their final regular season home match for seniors Hollyn Alberghini (Stanfield, N.C.) and Pierce Dillard (Simpsonville, S.C.). The Bulldogs have won three matches in a row and five of their last six contests.

Alberghini defeated Coker freshman Stephanie Harrelson (Hartsville, S.C.) 6-0, 7-5 at the number five singles flight. Earlier in the day, the West Stanly High School product teamed with sophomore Samantha Alschlager (Indian Trail, N.C.) to defeat Harrelson and junior Kendall Sigmon (Hilton Head Island, S.C.) 8-1 at the number two doubles flight.

Bulldog junior Kara Stasikelis (Greer, S.C.) defeated Coker sophomore Alyssa Blanchard (Irmo, S.C.) 6-4, 6-4 in the number one singles match. Stasikelis and freshman Kelli Ferguson (Concord, N.C.) topped Blanchard and sophomore Stephanie Medley (Sumter, S.C.) 8-3 at the number one doubles position.

The next match for the Lady Cobras will be on April 8, at home against Queens University of Charlotte. Match time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
