Hartsville, S.C. – Coker College head men’s and women’s tennis coach Alvin Cheng is pleased to announce the signing of Faith Baxley to a National Letter of Intent to play tennis for the Lady Cobras tennis team during the early signing period.

Baxley is a native of Mullins, S.C., where she is a standout player at Pee Dee Academy. An All-Region selection, Baxley had a singles record of 22-3 during her senior season and was 18-1 in doubles play.

“I am very excited to have Faith join the women’s team,” said Cheng. “She is going to be a great addition to Coker next season and I cannot wait to see what the future will bring for her.”

The Coker men’s and women’s tennis teams will begin their 2010 spring season on Feb. 2, when they take on cross-town rival Francis Marion in their first match of the season.
