Wilson, NC- For the second time in as many days, the Lady Cobras team fell by a score of 5-4, this time to the Barton Bulldogs.


In doubles, Ashley Pace (Clinton, SC) and Kendall Sigmon (Hilton Head, SC) continued their winning ways at number three winning 8-4.  In the other two doubles matches, Coker was unable to come out on, thus causing them to trail heading into singles by a score of 2-1.

In singles, the lady cobras were unable to pick up enough wins to take the match, but were able to scrap out three wins.  Lindsay Crighton (Florence, SC) found her way back to the winner’s circle as she won at number 4 singles by a score of 2-6, 6-4, and 6-1.  Jill Smith (Concord, NC) battled her way back after losing the first set to win in a third set tiebreaker 4-6, 7-5, and (10-6).  The final win of the day came at number five where Ashley Pace picked up her second win of the day 6-1, 6-0.  

The Lady Cobras will be back in action this Thursday and Friday as they play host to Newberry College and Lander University,
