Mt. Olive, NC- In a match that lasted over five hours, the Lady Cobra tennis team dropped their third conference match of the year by a close 5-4 score.

The Lady Cobras stormed out to a 2-1 lead after doubles as Ashley Pace (Clinton, SC) and Kendall Sigmon (Hilton Head, SC) rolled at number three winning 8-1, followed by Rachel Lemar (London, England) and Jill Smith (Concord, NC) adding a win at number one by a score of 8-5.

However, in singles play the roll reversed as Mt. Olive took four out of six matches to secure the 5-4 victory. Picking up singles victories for the Cobras were Cassidy Spencer (Wilkesboro, NC) winning comfortably by a score of 6-0, 6-3 and Kendall Sigmon picked up her first singles win of the year by winning in a thrilling three set match by a score of 6-1, 6-7(4), and (10-5).

The Lady Cobras are back in action tomorrow as they travel to take on Barton College in Wilson, NC. Match time is scheduled for 1:30pm.
