Thomasville, N.C.> Coker’s Cassidy Spencer (6-4 overall, 3-2 CVAC) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC) women's tennis Player of the Week during week number five in the 2007 season.  Cassidy Spencer was 4-0 in her matches this week, going 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles play, helping lead the Cobras to pair of victories over Brevard College and Mount Olive College. Spencer won with ease in both her singles matches winning 6-0 and 6-2 against Brevard, and 6-1, 6-4 versus Mount Olive. In her doubles match, Spencer and partner Lindsey Crighton won both matches by scores of 8-4 and 8-3. On the season, Spencer has been a one of the Cobras most consistent tennis players, with a 4-4 overall singles record and a 4-2 doubles record.
