Hartsville, SC- The lady Cobras were in action today at the Coker College Tennis Center as they took on Anderson University. The Cobras had finished the first three singles matches and were down 4-2 with three matches remaining.

Two wins came quickly at 5 and 6 singles with Konopa and Schaum playing consistently and both had comfortable victories. The match poised at 4-4 both teams had everything to play for. The match was to be decided at number four Singles with Neely Davis playing for the Cobras. Davis took an early lead in the first set but her opponent fort back to take it to a tie break. Davis was just edged out by her opponent and lost the opening set 7-6. However the next set was a different story with Davis coming out strong and playing her best tennis. With solid baseline rallies and consistent play Davis took control and won the set 6-1. From this point both teams had everything to play for. However Davis had other ideas as she again played great tennis to claim an early lead. From this point on Davis dominated her opponent and won the match for the Cobras 6-2 in the third.
