Hartsville, SC- Erskine one of the strongest teams in the conference came to Coker and played strong from the start of the match. The doubles matches were closely contested at numbers one and three. The Coker number one pair of Santos and Smith played well but just came up short with an 8-5 loss. The third pair of Konopa and Schaum also played a long match against Holmes and Kieser but lost 8-4. Erskine played strong doubles throughout the afternoon and took all three doubles to lead 3-0.

 

The singles matches were up next with Andrea Santos leading the way for the lady Cobra’s. The match was competitive with hard hitting rallies throughout. Santos played well but lost 6-2, 6-1. Cassidy Spencer also had a tough match at number two singles. Spencer worked hard in the match moving her opponent across the court but Dawsoh was very consistent and won 6-1, 6-2.

 

The Cobras now move to 3-6 for the season and 1-4 in CVAC play. The Lady Cobras next match is on the road against Methodist College on the 19th March at 2pm.
