Hartsville, SC - The Lady Cobras lost 7-2 to Queens University of Charlotte Friday afternoon. Queens came out firing in the Doubles and went up 2-1. The doubles win for the Lady Cobras came at number three when Ashley Schaum and Jen Konopa won 8-5.

 

Queens again come out strong and took the top three singles matches. Jill Smith came close to a win at three but lost 6-4, 6-4. The Lady Cobras struggled in the rest of the singles but fought well against the stronger opposition. Jen Konopa played well at number five and won the Cobras only other match 6-2, 6-3.

 

The Lady Cobras are now 2-1 and 1-1 in CVAC. The next match for the women’s team is against USC Aiken on Tuesday at 2.30pm.
