
Cobras and Eagles Battle to 0-0 Draw
The Coker women's soccer team tied 0-0 with the Carson-Newman Eagles on Saturday (Oct. 19).

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 draw against Carson-Newman in a SAC competition on Saturday (Oct. 19) night at the Coker Soccer Field.
Coker dominated the possession game in both halves, but the Carson-Newman defense held strong to force overtime action.
In Overtime, the Eagles fired off five shots and put four on frame, but junior goalkeeper Lizz Morris came up big for the Cobras and saved all four shots, totaling 10 on the night.
Offensively, seven different Cobras were able to put a shot on goal. Jalynn Fortt led the team with two shot on cage.
Coker will be back on the field this Saturday (Oct. 23) to host Newberry in a SAC competition. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
