Cobras Look to Keep Rolling Against Indians

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's soccer team will battle against the Indians of Catawba College in a South Atlantic Conference matchup this week as part of Coker College's homecoming festivities. The match is set for a 1:30 p.m. kick-off on Saturday (Oct. 5) at the Coker Soccer Field. The match will be broadcast live online at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras look to keep on rolling after their 2-0 victory against Converse College earlier this week. Leading Coker in the win was freshman Jordan Roy who scored both goals for the Cobras.

Along with Roy, sophomore Jalynn Fortt has helped lead the offense for the Cobras with one goal and one assist on the year.

Catawba sports a 4-4-1 overall record and are 1-2-1 in conference play. The Indians won their last match against Chowan, and are led by Alex Hulsey and Amy Iwanicki who have three goals apiece.

During halftime of the game Coker College will honor the 1994 Coker College women's soccer team as the 2013 Hall of Fame inductee, and present the Young Alumni Award.

Tickets for the match are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
