Hartsville, S.C. – Belmont Abbey rolled past Coker College with a 12-0 win in women’s collegiate soccer on Saturday afternoon. The Crusaders Alana Ryczek and Connie Axiotis each had a hat trick as they handed the Lady Cobras their worst loss in school history.

The loss continues Coker’s losing season, dropping the Lady cobras to 0-12 overall and 0-10 in Conference Carolinas play, while the Crusaders improve to 8-3 overall and 7-1 in the conference.

The Abbey posted five goals before the half, while adding seven more in the second half. Ryczek added two assists to her point total for the match, while Celene Molera, Rebecca Mateo, Jessica Reynolds, Brandi Clark, and Stephanie Avila each had a goal.  Erika Trivisonno, Ali Zingo and Mateo each had assists as well.

Coker goalkeeper Carrie Hudnell (Goose Creek, S.C.) had seven saves in the match.

The Lady Cobras return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 13 when they host Pfeiiffer University at 5:00 p.m.
