Hartsville, SC- Bridget Clark’s (Irmo, SC) hat trick paced the Cobra Women’s Soccer Team in their 4-2 victory over Brevard College on Saturday, in Coker’s 2007 Homecoming match. The win improves the Cobras to 4-7-1 overall, while Brevard falls to 4-9 overall.

Clark scored a true hat trick with all three goals coming in the first half. Her first goal of the day came just two minutes into the game, as she scored on a break away. Her second goal came in the 19th minute, this time Laura Bedenbaugh (Hartsville, SC) hit a cross from the right side that Clark put in the lower left corner of the goal with one touch.  Just 30 seconds later, Clark struck again with another one timer, this time with an assist from Katie Holliday (James Island, SC).

Brevard added their first goal just before the end of the half, as Nikki Peacock, snuck a shot between a Coker defenders legs and into the back of the net.

In the 62nd minute, the Tornados added their second goal when Ashley Fincher scored off a penalty kick.

The Cobras put the nail in the coffin in the 80th minute, when Holliday broke away from the defense and a goal past the Tornado keeper.

Coker snapped their seven game losing streak with the win and they will return to the field on Wednesday, as they travel to Barton College for a 5:00 p.m. match.
