DUE WEST, SC—The Erskine College Women’s Soccer team defeated Coker Saturday afternoon at Huggins Field, 2-1, but suffered a crushing blow, losing freshman goaltender Si'Ara Washington 10 minutes in to the contest.

Erskine went up 2-0 on sophomore Tory Lybrand’s first goal of her career. Lybrand was assisted by Kim Barron. Coker made things tight at 65:20 when Kathryn Friedmann fired from straight in front of the goal past Cash to trim the margin to 2-1. The Cobras got three more good attempts at goal but could not finish and the Fleet earned their first Conference Carolinas victory.
