Cobras Fall to Crusaders in ECAC Opener
The Coker College wrestling team traveled to Belmont Abbey on Tuesday (Nov. 28) night in their first conference action of the season. The Cobras fell 31-19 against the Crusaders in the ECAC matchup.
BELMONT, N.C.- The Coker College wrestling team traveled to Belmont Abbey on Tuesday (Nov. 28) night in their first conference action of the season. The Cobras fell 31-19 against the Crusaders in the ECAC matchup.
Michael Milam earned the first points of the night for the Navy and Gold with a 17-9 major decision in the 157 pound match.
Coker then claimed three straight victories at 184, 197, and 285. Jordon Garlow pinned his opponent in 1:39 and Luis Peguero followed it up with a pin of his own in 1:25. Tyvon Leacock earned the final points for the Cobras with his 5-3 decision.
Next, the Navy and Gold will compete at the Newberry Duals on Sunday (Dec. 3). They will wrestle Queens at 9:30 a.m., St. Cloud State at 11:00 a.m., and Bellarmine at 2:00 p.m.
