
Peguero Crowned Champion, Cobras Grapple at Georgia Open

Drew Crabtree earned an 11-4 decision over University of South Florida in consolation round two.
Noah Kile recorded a technical fall (16-0) over a Lindsey Wilson opponent and pinned a Brewton Parker wrestling in 2:45. His other three wins were two decisions over Life and Reinhardt, and won first place in the 141 consolation bracket with a fall over Life in 3:35.
Otto Wolin garnered a fall over Georgia Southern in 3:44 for his win in consolation round two.
Matthew Kieta grabbed a 16-1 technical fall over a UNC Pembroke man and a fall over Brewton Parker in 2:42. Kieta's three other wins included a close decision over Life, an 8-4 decision over Reinhardt, and third place consolation bracket win on a medical forfeit from Southeastern.
Hunter Corwin earned a 16-9 decision over a Spartanburg Methodist opponent.
Kyle Ocker had three wins on the day, earning a fourth place finish in the consolation bracket. He pinned King in 2:11, battled for a 14-11 decision over Emmanuel, and received a forfeit over Belmont Abbey.
Michael Milam grabbed fourth place in the 165 weight class with a technical fall over Brewton Parker (19-3) and a pin over Emmanuel in 3:27.
Chris Coyle won the consolation bracket by way of two falls, a major decision, and a decision. He wrestled to a major decision over USF (18-10) and tallied pins against unattached wrestlers in 4:24 and 2:54. In the consolation finals match, he earned a 10-6 decision over Brewton Parker.
Jordon Garlow's three wins were all pins, which included falls over Lindsey Wilson (4:09), Emmanuel (:39), and Belmont Abbey (1:42) to win fifth place.
On his way to a first place victory, Luis Peguero earned a 6-1 decision over King, 13-3 major decision over Brewton Parker, 2-0 decision over Southeastern, and to win it all, a sudden victory over Southeastern.
Tyvon Leacock earned four decisions and a pin on his way to third place. To set up his pin over Life in 1:46, he grabbed a 6-2 decision over King, 7-0 decision over Lindsey Wilson, 9-5 decision over Spartanburg Methodist, and a 4-1 decision over Southeastern.
Jeremy Wilson's win came against Brewton Parker on a fall in 1:12.
The Navy and Gold next compete on Nov. 28 at Belmont Abbey for their first ECAC action of the season. The first match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
