Cobras Finish Eighth at SAC Championship Tournament
Angela Luna led the Coker women's golf team to a eighth place finish at the SAC Women's Golf Championship. She finished in 14th place individually.
MONROE, N.C. – The Coker College women's golf team shot a final round of 323 on Tuesday at the South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Championship Tournament. The team's three-day score of 983 left them in eighth place.
Angela Luna led the way for the Navy and Gold. She fired a final round 78, including a two-under par 34 on her inward nine. Her three-round score of 239 left her in 14th place individually. Ana Orlov continued her trend of improving by three strokes each round, firing a final round 79 and finishing with a team score of 246. Bella Harris signed off on a closing round of 81, leaving her with a 247 tournament score. Taylor Gaskins carded a final round of 85. She finished with a three-day score of 254. Margaret Mills rounded things out for the Cobras. She finished with a three-round score of 258 after a final round 88.
Queens University of Charlotte took home the team title. They finished with a team score of 938. Grace Glaze of Queens was the individual medalist. She shot rounds of 76, 72 and 75 to take home the honors.
This concludes the Coker women's golf team's 2015-16 season.
