Coker Takes Seventh at SAC Women's Golf Championship

SEVIERVILLE, N.C. – The Coker women's golf team wrapped up play at the 2015 South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Championship on Tuesday (Apr. 14) with a final round team score of 342. The Cobras finished the tournament with a score of 1010 over the three rounds, placing seventh overall. 

Taylor Demby  and Angela Luna led the way for the Cobras during the final day, both carded scores of 84 in the final round. Demby finished the tournament with a three-day total of 246, while Luna finished a stroke back at 247.  Mallory Thompkins fired a 90 in the final round of play and turned in a 259 for the tournament, while Taylor Gaskins signed off an 85 for day three and finished with a 262 for the tournament. Tensley Clowser rounded out the field for the Cobras with an 89 in the final day of action and a 269 for the tournament.

Carson-Newman took home the 2015 SAC Championship, with Newberry coming in second. Lincoln Memorial's Lindsay Davis was the individual medalist for the tournament.

The Cobras close out the season with five top 10 finishes as a team, and Taylor Demby and Angela Luna earned All-SAC honors individually.
