Coker in Seventh After Day One of SAC Championship

SEVIERVILLE, TENN. – The Coker College women's golf team is in seventh place after day one of the South Atlantic Conference Championship tournament carding an opening team score of 339.

Angela Luna is in a tie for 17th place after an opening 18-hole score of 82. Taylor Demby shot an 83 and is in a tie for 25th position. Tensley Clowser carded an 86 on day one. Taylor Gaskins and Mallory Thompkins rounded out the Cobra starting five with opening rounds of 88 and 89.

Newberry College is atop the team leaderboard after a team score of 310 on day one. Karley Mims of Newberry and Grace Glaze of Queens University of Charlotte are the individual overnight leaders after rounds of 74 to open the SAC Championships.

The Cobras will tee off on hole 10 on the River Course at Sevierville Golf Club starting at 9:20 a.m.
