HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College women's golf coach Tommy Baker has announced that Taylor Gaskins, Cameron Crutchfield and Amber Harman have signed national letters of intent to play for the Cobras.
"I am very excited for these three ladies to become a part of our program," said Baker. "Taylor, Cam and Amber are not only extremely talented on the golf course, but they are also academically-minded student-athletes. Their work ethic, talent and competitiveness will be great additions as we begin play in the South Athletic Conference next season."
Gaskins hails from Dutch Fork High School in Irmo, S.C., where she was a three-sport athlete in golf, cross country and track and field. In golf, she was the captain of her team for three years and a two-time all-region selection. During her junior season, Gaskins finished in the top 10 in eight of 10 events she entered, including a No. 2 finish at the South Carolina Junior Golf Association One Day Series at Hidden Valley Golf Course in Gaston, S.C.
Taylor is the daughter of Gregg and Robin Gaskins.
Crutchfield comes from Myrtle Beach High School in Myrtle Beach, S.C. She was a six-sport athlete in golf, soccer, cross country, track and field, basketball and softball. Crutchfield was named first team all-region for golf her senior year.
Cameron is the daughter of Jim and Caroline Crutchfield.
Harman joins Coker from Paul J. Hagerty High School in Oviedo, Fla. She was named to the Seminole Athletic Conference first and second all-conference teams, was her team's MVP in 2012 and won the Coaches' Award in 2011.
Amber is the daughter of Tom and Debbie Harman.
