HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Coker women's golf team completed the final round of play at the Newberry Invitational on Monday afternoon finishing  in eighth place. Armstrong Atlantic earned the team title at the par 74 Moss Creek Golf Club, with Newberry College placing second and Lander University coming in third.

Caroline Dula (Salisbury, N.C.) was the Cobras leading golfer on day two. She carded an 88, while Sara Allen (Fort Mill, S.C.) and Krista Thorpe (Bracebridge, Ontario) each shot 95. Mallory Thompkins (Georgetown, S.C.) shot a 96 and Bobbi McKenzie (McBee, S.C.) finished the round at 106.

The Cobra women will be back on the course again on March 5, when they travel to Savannah, Ga. to take part in the Pirate Invitational hosted by Armstrong Atlantic.
