Cobras Use Huge 4th Quarter To Take Down Newberry

Newberry, SC - In a Women's Basketball matchup on January 13, 2024, Coker University used a dominant fourth quarter to take a win over Newberry College with a final score of 59-40.

The game was shaping up to be a close one through the first three quarters, with the Cobras leading by only four at the half and Newberry tying the contest heading into the 4th quarter. However, tenacious defense mixed with their highest-scorng quarter of the day lead to a resounding victory at the final buzzer.

Kamari Thompson contributed significantly on both ends of the court, grabbing 12 rebounds and making 4 steals to go along with 6 points. Mya Wasswa showcased her shooting prowess, scoring a game-high 15 points. Dominique Rodriguez displayed her all-around skills, contributing 13 points and showcasing her three-point shooting abilities with a 50% success rate.
