Cobras Host Pioneers on Homecoming

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's basketball team will host the Tusculum College Pioneers tomorrow (Feb. 10) afternoon in South Atlantic Conference action on Homecoming. 

The Navy and Gold head into tomorrow's contest with three players averaging nine or more points per game. Hayley Kropp leads Coker averaging 11.4 points per game. Erin Houser trails Kropp with 9.9 points per game and Janea Williams is tied with Houser in scoring, putting up 9.9 per game. 

On the defensive end, Williams has anchored the Navy and Gold with a team-leading 8.8 rebounds per game and 2.5 blocks per game. Her season marks in rebounds and blocks per game are good for second in the SAC. Kropp has also contributed on the defensive end, averaging a team-high 1.2 steals per game. 

Tusculum enters tomorrow's game with a 14-6 overall record that includes a 9-5 record in SAC play. Sydney Wilson leads the Pioneers offensively, averaging 13.7 points per game. 

As mentioned, opening tip is set for 2 p.m. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students, and free to all Coker faculty, staff, and students.
