Cobras Host Tusculum on Homecoming Saturday

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker women's basketball will host Tusculum on Homecoming Saturday (Feb. 11) in South Atlantic Conference action. Video and live stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com.

The two teams met in Greenville, Tenn. back on Dec. 17, with Tusculum defending its home floor for a 59-50 win. Kendra Lambert led the Navy and Gold scoring 13 points, while Trai Johnson added 10.

Coker's last action came on Wednesday (Feb. 8)  when they fell at Lenoir-Rhyne 59-52. Sydney Shull led the Cobras with 11 points, while Shay Jackson added 10 off the bench.

On the season, Coker is led offensively by Iresha Cooper. On the year, Cooper is averaging 12.1 points per game, 17th-best in the league. Cooper is also  second in the conference in field goal percentage, shooting 54.6 percent from the floor.

The Pioneers come into the matchup 5-16 and 4-13 in South Atlantic Conference play. They are led by Kasey Johnson who averages 15.5 points per game, which is sixth-best in the conference.

Tip-off is slated for 2:00 p.m. at the DeLoach Center. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.At halftime of the game, the court at the DeLoach Center will be dedicated to honor legendary head coach Dan Schmotzer.
