Cobras Welcome No. 5 LMU on Saturday

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker women's basketball will host No. 5 Lincoln Memorial on Saturday (Jan. 21). Video and live stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras fell to Lenoir-Rhyne at home on Wednesday (Jan. 18) 61-42. Kendra Lambert led the Cobras with 12 points, while eight other Cobras chipped in points.

Coker and LMU played last on Dec. 3 in Harrogate, Tenn. where the Railsplitters defended their home floor with an 83-62 win. Sydney Shull led all Coker scorers with 18 points, 13 coming in the second half. Lindsey Adams totaled 14 points with nine coming in the second half, and Iresha Cooper chipped in 14 of her own with 11 in the second half.

On the year, Iresha Cooper leads the Cobras offensively, pouring in 11.6 points per game, 15th-best individually in the league. Cooper is also second in the conference in field goal percentage, shooting 55.1 percent from the floor.

The No. 5 Railsplitters come into the matchup with a perfect 16-0 mark including an 11-0 mark in conference. Megan Pittman leads the team offensively, averaging 15.1 points per game, eighth in the conference.

Tip-off is slated for 2:00 p.m. at the DeLoach Center. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
