Cobras Hoping to Keep Home Win Streak Alive

HARTSVILLE, SC. – The Coker women's basketball team has not lost at home all year, and that record will be put to the test this Saturday (Jan. 12) as they host Limestone College.  Live broadcast coverage of the game will be available at www.cokercobras.com.

Limestone College (8-2, 5-1) is currently ranked first in Conference Carolinas, while Coker (9-4, 5-2) is seated at fifth.

Coker's most recent competition resulted in a loss when they fell to the Barton Bulldogs on Tuesday (Jan. 8), giving the Cobras only their fourth loss of the year.

Twin sisters Amber and Autumn Lau continue to lead the Cobras in scoring, averaging more than 17 and 15-points per game.  Coker will rely heavily on the Lau sisters for scoring purposes, as Limestone has only allowed an average opponent score of 58.6-points per game.

Saturday's competition will only be the fourth road game of the year for the Saints.  Their most recent victory came against North Greenville when they defeated the Crusaders 63-59 to give them their first away victory of the year.

Limestone will be led by Maria Young and Tia Williams, who average 15 and 14-points per game.

Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, followed by the men's game at 4 p.m.
